“In this white man’s world, we the ones chosen”- Kanye West
Hip-Hop is not just a genre of music, but it is most importantly a CULTURE. What defines that culture is what keeps hip-hop afloat and in the ears of the mainstream audience. Whether you like it or not, here is a list of things that fuel the success of hip-hop. If it weren’t for the things on this list, hip-hop would not be what it is today. #Enjoy
1. Hoes, sluts, prostitutes, smuts, licentious women.
One of the main reasons hip-hop is what it is today. You can say that rap objectifies women, but these women are a part of the culture. They also subject themselves to these identifying names.

2. Bling, Ice, Chains, Jewelry.
Personally, I love when a rapper has his chain taken from another person/rapper. Beef rap is fun, but most of the chains are fake anyway. No sense in fighting over something that isn’t real.
3. Weed, Cocaine, Meth, Crack, drugs in general.
I fucks with the rappers who get high. They give marijuana a positive vibe. I don’t fuck with the other drugs, but if a person from nothing can become something because of hustling drugs, then I can’t knock that hustle. Again, it’s a part of the culture.
4. Record Label Execs, A&Rs, Labels in general
These are the white men that are choosing the blacks who represent hip-hop and can make them some money.
5. Talent
Able artists are terrific. Lyrical skills and wordplay show the progression of the English language and helps Black people reclaim that language and identity that was stripped from them through slavery.
6. POVERTY, Black Struggle, Discrimination, Racism
Racism still alive – they just be concealing it. Plus, the struggle is the only comfort from the music that can help people get out of their situations.
7. Money
More money more problems. As long as there is a market there will be money to make.
8. WorldStarHipHop.Com
I hate this website. Haha. I call it Nigger-News, but hey with over 20million hits a day, they represent the majority of black males ages 18-35 with a moderate education level.
9. The System
The so-called system pits a group of people against another group of people. Thus, hip-hop is a way of messaging the other people’s suffering and conditions to their counterparts.
10. Sex/Fellacio
As long sex is around, I’m sure someone can make a song about it. Nasty as can be too. I’ll save my comments because I’d be “Dead Wrong” with my thoughts.
11. Fashion
Everybody wants to be a nigga, but nobody wants to be a nigger. Being black is being cool, thus they set trends and fashions for mainstream America to follow.
YOU CAN’T KNOCK HIP-HOP FOR ENCOMPASSING ALL THESE THINGS; HOWEVER, WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT, THESE THINGS/PROBLEMS EXIST AND UNTIL WE CAN CHANGE THESE THINGS THEY WILL ALWAYS COME ABOUT. DON’T KNOCK THE PLAYER OR THE MESSENGER, BUT THE REASON FOR THE MESSAGE.
THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER THINGS, BUT IF YOU HAVE SOME, FEEL FREE TO LEAVE A COMMENT.
IT’S ALL LOVE.
~KEEP HIP-HOP ALIVE~

12. Because nobody cool likes country music, and because many people like to distance themselves from that whole mess of inbred mouthbreathers as much as possible.
People I associate with residing on the coasts of the US understand how incredibly lame most of the other white people are (you know, the ones in alaska, arizona, texas..basically all the red states). As a result, (we) become averse to the things that the “other” white people like. With this in mind, and as a way to distance themselves from these “other” white people, coastal whites have a tendency to listen to music generally made by non-white people. Of the non-white musical genres (lol @ any music from the middle east or south eastern asia..fuck it all of asia) hip hop is clearly the superior option, and is also an interesting and attractive cultural movement.
im never commenting again i come off as such an asshole (am an asshole)
