Fall

a poem inspired by last night:

nothing can stop us from laying under
the bed of stars of which we wonder
which are planets or little constellations
give me your hand and i’ll show you patience.

the tear drops of rain glisten on the end of grass blades
i thought i liked you, but was it merely all a phase?
when the star light so bright glares in your eyes
i see such a surprise and my true feelings no longer hides.

as we stumble out of summer and into fall,
i fear the oncoming withdrawal
from your touch, your kiss, your smile
and in the cold of winter, you’ll be many miles

away, don’t let the the summer stray.
things really do change with the seasons
like your eyes from blue to green
i could never forget you, i hope u never forget me!
